I have been asked to publicise the petition below.
Surely the Advertisers advertising abortion by their desire to advertise abortion must be making out that this very emotional, highly charged and life-changing decision, is nothing more than going for a wee.
No matter what your views are on abortion, advertising it is not supportive or helpful in making the difficult decision and may add extra pressure to make a wrong decision for all concerned.
So why do the Advertisers really want to advertise abortion?

ADVERTISING ABORTION:
Do you know that neither drinking or smoking can be advertised
on the TV but abortion can?
Next Monday at 10.10pm an advert offering abortion services will
be shown for the first time on British television next week and will run
to the end of next month. Channel 4, who are showing the advert have
declared this an ‘equality’.
We are asking for your support through two actions:
1) Please sign a petition to channel 4 requesting they
immediately remove the advertisement which is ‘selling abortion’. This
will be submitted to Channel 4 through out the advertising period of 6

2) We are trying to achieve a blanket ‘turn off’ of Channel
4 for the entire day on Monday 24th May so that their viewing figures
are severely affected by their actions. This will ensure future
advertisers really consider the worth of Channel 4 advertising.
