Permethrin is an insecticide used in products to kill fleas on cats. It is successful as it interferes with the nerves in the flea and kills it eventually. However it can also interfere with the nerves in your cat and kill it. Rare, but true as was the case to one person’s cat whose Blog I read recently and cannot refer you to because I have lost the site! When I find it again I will put the link in – it is very sad reading.

I have used tea-tree and neem oil which is very successful but there is a site in America Only Natural Pet with some wonderful products for animals but the shipping costs are so high it makes it very expensive for anyone in the UK. I cannot find a similar company in the UK with similar products – annoying!
